Film Title (Year of Release) [# of stars I have given the film]
Brief desciption of why I rated the film as I did.

*****

Mission: Impossible (1996) [4.5]
One of my all-time favorite films. I could watch this over and over again.

****

12 Monkeys (1996) [4]
Phenominal film. Very dark and twisted and very, very interesting.

The Birdcage (1996) [3.5]
Hilarious film. I loved the characters and the way they covered all of the roles.

Ghosts of Mississippi (1996) [3.5]
Great movie and a decent depiction of volatile historical events.

Happy Gilmore (1996) [3.5]
Sandler is hilarious in this film. Best scene ever: Bob Barker vs. Happy Gilmore!

Independence Day (1996) [3.5]
Terrific effects, cool plot line and one of the better action films I have seen.

Jerry Maguire (1996) [3.5]
I enjoyed this film a lot. It was the perfect mix of sports, romance and a decent story line.

Ransom (1996) [3.5]
One of the most intense films I have seen. Mel Gibson and Gary Sinise were great in this film.

Sleepers (1996) [4]
I thought this was a great film. Dark subject matter that was presented very well.

A Time to Kill (1996) [3.5]
A very intense film. I think this may have been one of Samuel L. Jackson's best roles.

Beavis and Butthead Do America (1996) [2.5]
Good for a laugh or two. That's about all.

Broken Arrow (1996) [2.5]
John Travolta, Christian Slater...how could this movie even make it to the big screen.

Daylight (1996) [2.5]
So-so film. You will never want to drive through another tunnel after seeing this.

Fear (1996) [2.5]
This movie was okay. Not one of Reese Witherspoon or Mark Wahlberg's best, but okay.

Kingpin (1996) [2.5]
If you want senseless humor, this is the movie for you. No thinking necessary.

Last Man Standing (1996) [2.5]
Okay film. Bruce Willis was so-so, so the movie was so-so.

The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) [3]
This movie wasn't too bad. Geena Davis is not my favorite, but she was good in her duel roles in this movie.

Muppet Treasure Island (1996) [3]
Muppets rule!

The Nutty Professor (1996) [3]
This was a funny film. Eddie Murphy pulled off several rolls quite well.

The Rock (1996) [3]
Good film. If you want lots of action and intense scenes, check this one out.

That Thing You Do (1996) [3]
I enjoyed this film. It was a funny little film that just was a feel good flick.

Trainspotting (1996) [2.5]
A dark, twisted and sometimes confusing film. Not bad, but not good.

Twister (1996) [3]
Good film that touched on unmarked subject. Very intense.

White Squall (1996) [2.5]
Could have been a great film had it not had so many boring moments.

**

From Dusk to Dawn (1996) [2]
What a weird film. Just not a good film in my eyes.

Mar Attacks (1996) [2]
Stupid. So very, very stupid.

The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996) [1.5]
The mirror would have to have two faces to cover all of Streisand's nose.

Striptease (1996) [2]
Demi Moore naked = 5 stars. Burt Reynolds= -3 stars. Hence, 2 stars
